Wires beneath our feet Songs that we should keep Inside our memories But we forget them in a week At night you try to sleep Till the sun begins to creep Stuck to a memory It feels like just last week The weeks go by so fast But the minutes go so slow When it's cold we want the sun Then we sweat and pray for snow The same can then be said About the people that we know The memories will stay But people come and go. Minutes go by fast, the weeks go so slow Some people have the time, but you know we don't. But if we did, we'd probably waste it Writing songs and getting wasted. Wasted time we could've spent On some pointless shit that we'd forget Minutes go by fast, the weeks go so slow Weeks go by so fast, the minutes so slow. But now that we have come to face it Remember all the times we wasted. I could've wasted all of it with you. Then we wouldn't forget about all of this so soon.

The flag on the moon that we can't see from here But we all watch the news, and believe what we hear But we'll never know if what's shown on the screen Is a lie like the books that they told us to read. A small speck of dust when you look from afar The same goes for us if you look from the stars The view from above, looking down at the cars No matter how hard they try, they'll never find ours. But just in case, we'll stay parked. There's no way we'll get caught. We're just ghosts in the dark. So when all is said and done We won't have to run. ~

But we'll feel alive We can't see the earth But we still swim through the sky And we haven't died Not yet You still hear the birds, right by your side. Do you hear them? (Figure it out) Figure it out We'll figure it out At some point. Maybe not for a long time. But we'll figure it out. But we'll feel alive. Do you feel alive? Figure it out. We'll figure it out. (We figured it out)

Bright clouds in a dark sky Halos above our eyes Rainstorms in the sunshine And we watch in the meantime Welcome mat on the front porch Rub our feet and walk indoors My halos gone and so is yours So now we're stuck in the middle I guess it all came to an end All things do but we try and try again Broken bones and wounds that you could mend 'Cause you were there, but you were not my friend. You were there but you were not my friend. ~

The lights look like ants From where we stand In a foreign land And you grab my hand And say we'll make a plan Because we understand The ants will all die.

But we'll feel alive When we can't see the earth As we swim through the sky And we'll know when this occurs That we haven't died And the sounds will float like birds Right by your side And every sound you ever heard Came out to sound like mine But if the songs were made from words And we're all made from dirt Then who wrote it first? Broken bones and wounds that you could mend 'Cause you were there, but you were not my friend All the wasted time we could've spent Now we're stuck inside a song that never ends. Bright clouds in a dark sky Rainstorms in the sunshine We watch in the meantime Bounce back and we'll rewind Bounce back and we'll rewind. Bright clouds in a dark sky Rainstorms in the sunshine We watch in the meantime Bounce back and we'll rewind Broken bones and wounds that you could mend 'Cause you were there, but you were not my friend All the wasted time we could've spent But it was worth it to be born with you again.

There's something in the way things looked when we arrived Something in the way we looked into their eyes and found something we never thought would appear Voices rang so loud, the sounds they echoed for years They stayed with us forever Nothing sounded better than this Used to complain about the weather But now to us it really just don't exist Cuz we stay inside and wonder why the world outside's so fucked And every single chord we play has already been struck Every little metaphor was already thought up This song's already been sung So let's make a new one a sound that no one's ever heard And when we try to sing along we'll never remember the words But atleast we'll always know We wrote it first So we'll write another verse And we'll lose all of the words Forget it all till the next day comes And we meet up to rehearse The song may seem a blur But we recite it word for word Relax and quench our thirst Cuz we wrote it first ~There's something in the way~ There's something in the way of us and what we remember Our feelings last forever we just can't put them into words But if we could, we'd write a million songs about All the shit we talk about and all the words we can't spit out But a million other people said it first

Destiny says It's off with our heads We're playing Russian Roulette But the bullets are left In the chamber of death Arranged in our steps So we won't forget The memories yet We can let go instead We can walk off the edge As we fall to our death And take our last breath One foot, then the next The right, then the left. You'll find them buried in the sand With all the things I said I really am 'Cause then we'd be lost In all the talks of our forgotten thoughts If it were up to them You'd be my Wendy, and I'd be your Peter Pan But when we met We knew that heaven was close, 'cause we felt it then. As we took our last breath. ~ Destiny says It's off with our heads We're playing Russian Roulette With the bullets I kept Right where you rest So you won't forget To sleep in my bed.
