I guess we’ll start at the end I thought it’d be nice to tell you in advance, Just how it happened There’s still more to find out Each story is a wall so step inside the house, And see what happens Changes happen so fast The leaves, they change colors, And fall on the grass Glad it’s all in the past But every year you can hear them grow back If you just follow the tracks, You won’t need a bright, shining star or a map These songs can take you away Where everyone wishes they could be But I’d prefer it to be just you and me ~You and me~

The Woe Song 03:12
Wake up alone Shivering cold No one to guide me home A dog with no bone I just keep on digging holes Still trying to find it, But I’m losing my mind in the process ‘Cause I know it’s not there anymore, But I swear to God I won’t stop lookin’, No, I won’t stop lookin’ ~I won’t stop lookin’~
3.
Is it the end or the beginning again? There’s a darkness behind us but a light up ahead Take in the sounds, wrap your mind around, We went through hell but there’s a story now Over waters, through the sky, You and I have flown With time we’ve moved on, And like roses we’ve grown ~Like roses we've grown~

Rewind 00:53

I see you grow, My pretty pink rose, You glow, you glow The sun hits your pedals The water flows As if you’re the music, So beautifully composed It plays in my head, Becoming obsessed, With each note and rest Each note I’m losin’ rest Tryin’ to catch my breath I notice the air seems much thinner, The further we get Well, I bet it’s hard for you, Believe me, just keep breathin' ‘Cause I need you to, Babe, if you go I’m leaving too “Hey! Where you leaving to?” I see grow, My pretty pink rose, Like a melody wrote, When I play every note, It takes all my breath away, Like seein’ a ghost It’s hard to describe using words, ‘Cause they just can’t come close But I tried my best, And here’s what I wrote A seed to a rose A sound to a note You’re some perfect energy put in a soul I breathe in the air coming out through your nose No words can describe it, But that’s how it goes But I thought it’d be nice, To try and let you know

Down the 306 03:06
We sat amongst the flowers in the fields They all seemed so alive, yet so unreal The light bleeds through the sky’s magnetic shield I hear you call my name though I’m right here But you know that, don’t you? Instead you play these twisted games You say one thing, don’t feel the same But you know that don’t you? ‘Cause I always answer softly Every time you call my name I say it’s fine, Let’s take our time We started drivin’ down the 306 The temperature was warm but made you sick We thought we’d get inside before it hit ‘Cause the storm’s approaching, And we might get stuck in it But you know that, don’t you? Instead you play these twisted games, You say one thing, don’t feel the same But you know that don’t you? ‘Cause I always answer softly Every time you call my name I say it’s fine Let’s take our time Hope we stay dry I’ll stay the night Turn off the light Let’s close our eyes Pretty pink rose As of now you’re mine

Boatbrain 03:42
Lost at sea my brain became a boat The waves they crashed as the water rose Came upon an island and I saw a ghost Who told me I was like him and I should have known Better than I did when I was younger, And the words we said they didn’t matter much, And then we finally learned that we should tie our tongues, ‘Cause talkin never really gets ya nothin’ It never gets ya nothin’ He had three rows, Of six teeth He said grab my hand And off we’ll go You and me, Here we stand He’ll make it, So we never leave ~We finally found out…We won’t make it out~
8.
Up at 3:06 04:10
Radio’s on and the bed’s a mess It might have seemed long but it’s like we never left You spilled a drink, made the covers wet Asked you why you seemed so upset You said you had a dream The same one as mine Finishing your lines So I know you’re not lyin' We both made it out just fine Lost all hope now we gained it back Never thought we’d have a dream quite as strange as that We shared every minute and every fact Stop pullin your hair out and just relax ‘Cause it was just a dream Don’t let it cloud your mind Just rest your head on mine ‘Cause now that we’re entwined ~I promise you that we’ll be fine~
9.
The Calm 06:03
We’re here now, nothin’s changed The leaves are all the same color There’s no room to rearrange The furniture, one wall to the other The green couch we sat and played on Soda stains on the covers The indents where we laid All day, frozen with our eyes wide open Waitin’ for the rain ~It’s the calm before the storm~
10.
You said “I had it with this!” I said “Me too!” Well, I know I don’t know what this, But do you? In a perfect storm, me and you We walk home wet, we get undressed, And just shake it off (“Shake it off!”) The water pours just like before, And then it’s gone The moon is lit, And we can sit, Beneath the flashing stars Till we fall asleep, And wake up to an alarm With the rain it comes I said “I had it with this!” And you said “Me too!” Well I know you don’t know what this, But I do When we get wet, We’re so upset, We can’t shake it off (“Shake it off!”) The water pours, But its not like before We’re safe in these walls Where every dry moment we spend Makes every time we got wet Seem like a foolish regret How can these storms be so imperfect? ~How can these storms be so goddamn imperfect?~

Came upon an island, saw a ghost, white as smoke, made me choke Clouds lined and we saw the glow in pretty pink rows This place it looked familiar like we'd been here before Let's look around, I got a key so you can open the door Just take my hand and off we’ll go into the snow and freeze your toes Just let go of the world you know ‘cause here you feel whole Never gonna shed these layers of skin that we've grown Feelin’ the warmth of your skin is when I feel comfortable  ~The clouds were all lined up in pretty pink rows~ Remember the time we sat below a willow waiting for the snow to go away? Finally, the rain it came, we hoped and prayed it'd wash away our worries, day to day Instead our words kept drowning us in a flood, feel the mud seep in through our shoes Look ahead a silhouette's approaching us, pointing right at you He said, "Your time is soon!” ~The clouds were all lined up in pretty pink rows~ Thawed out like we always do Cool down on the grass's dew You said you found a better view A better view Follow though I can't catch up Try to run but my feet are stuck Stuck, stuck in the mud Thawed out like we always do Cool down on the grass's dew You said you found a better view And then he followed you ~Yeah, he followed you~

Jump up Reach across the bed The clock’s stuck at 3:06 again, And I hope this is pretend A shriveled rose lays where you slept, And it’s rainin’ again The words on the page are moving in waves Can’t see through the flood in my eyes All the letters change shape, And it’s rainin’ again It’s rainin’ again Halos of sound tap on the roof Let it burst through the ceiling and flood through the room And drown every last story with me Never knew how short a story could be Like an apple to a tree, you grew from a seed How quickly you blew away with all the leaves As I write the last notes to end this soon My hands, they start to shake Waiting to be held by you I always said if you go, You know, I’m leavin’ too Guess I’m leavin’ too, Leavin’ too… ~Now you’re gone, I’m leaving…~

about

We started writing and recording this album 8 months ago. Had no idea what it would sound like until it was finished. The first inspiration came from a tiny plastic rose, and the rest evolved from there. It's a fictional story with concepts closely related to our lives and surely the lives of others. After countless test runs (driving around at 4 AM listening to the whole thing straight through) we're deeply satisfied to share this world we created with you.

Each story is a wall,
So step inside the house...
